A Few Holiday Outfits

1. Vest - H&M / Shorts - Primark

2. Vest - Topshop / Shorts - Miss Selfridge (Christmas sale) / Sandals - Primark

3. Playsuit - H&M (Last summer) / Sandals - Primark

These are just a few of my night time outfits I wore while I was away on holiday. I went to Magaluf a few weeks ago now on a girly holiday. The weather was gorgeous and hot, but it did get quite chilly and windy at night. I didn't take anything too over the top and basically just lived in shorts and vests/crop tops at night, with the occasional dress or playsuit. I didn't buy anything too expensive as I knew it was more than likely going to get ruined from the crazy drinking nights out... kinda! Doing this post is giving me major holiday blues, good job I have another in the pipe line! Yay!

My Mini Adventure - The Warner Bros Studio Tour

I thought I'd give a little insight into what I've been up to for the past few days, and why I haven't been blogging as much. Me and my boyfriend swanned off to London for a few days after Valentines Day and decided to do something totally different... visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour. My boyfriend is a huge Harry Potter fan so I thought this would be the perfect thing to do, and I was also quite excited to see what it was like. We booked an amazing De Vere Hotel ten minutes away from the studios in Leavesden called Hunton Park, it was absolutely beautiful!

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the main building itself is gorgeous. The rooms were so lovely too, and to be honest I was very impressed with the whole hotel. The food was so good too. We opted for food in the Bar area instead of the three course restaurant, but it definitely wasn't your typical bar or pub food. The hotel also had a huge list of spa treatments on offer from massages to manicures, I just wish I had enough time to try them out.

We headed to the Warner Bros Studio Tour on Friday and there are really no other words to describe it other than absolutely amazing. You book your tickets online and choose a tour time, but when you actually get to the studios most of the tour is self-guided anyway. I won't go too much into what they have there but as you can see from my photos its basically crammed full of Harry Potter props, costumes and entire sets. It was so bizarre walking around the Great Hall and thinking 'they actually used this in filming', or seeing all the costumes and props that were actually used. Admittedly I'm not a HUGE Harry Potter fan, but after visiting the studios

I definitely have a new found love. I wish I could include all the photos I took from the tour but this blog post would be so huge. I would recommend this for absolutely anyone, even if you're not a massive fan like me. It really is such a brilliant experience.

YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch

YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen - 19.00 euros

I'm not one to usually go out on a whim and buy something I'm a bit scared about using, but I've been eyeing this little beauty up for a good few months now. I've read so many reviews about this specific piece and to be honest I've been in two minds about actually getting out my card and spending money on it. I picked this up on my holiday in Lanzarote a few weeks ago and I've only just tried it. I was tempted to buy it on the plane and with the £5 saving, I literally had to hold myself back. I was so glad I did though, as I managed to find this in a huge perfume chain shop called Dahlia. I paid 19.00 euros, which roughly works out at about £15, which is such a bargain in my eyes. It would be rude not to try it, right?!

A lovely Spanish lady helped me try out different tones and she even took into concentration that my tan would be fading in a few months, and finally we both decided on Shade 2. Looking at the swatch image I know it looks super light on my skin but I literally am so pale, especially on my face. I wasn't so convinced at first but after using it a few times I can already see that its the right shade for me. I was super happy after and vowed not to use it until I got home and it was totally necessary.

I still can't believe how beautiful this product actually is, from the packaging to the actual pen itself. It feels weird to say a piece of make up looks beautiful, but honestly I think this every time I see it. I think it's the gold packaging on both the box and the pen itself, it makes them feel so much more luxurious and high-end. Its one of those things that looks too good to use, but I couldn't help myself.

You get a handy little instruction sheet tucked in the box too and its so useful. I was a bit unsure about how and where to actually apply the product but the instructions give you tips when applying it to your under eyes and how to enhance your features, such as your eyes and lips. I've been using it to mask my huge eye bags while I've had my early morning shifts at work this week and it is literally a life saver. It makes my skin feel so lovely and when I use it under my eyes I have no bags what so ever... not to mention my eyes feel and look a lot brighter. This little beauty might become my new favourite product, but I'm definitely going to have to ration it.

Have you used Touch Éclat before? What do you like about it?

Holiday Series - A Few Outfits

I wanted to do a little post showing some of the outfits I wore while I was away in Lanzarote. Admittedly I didn't take loads of pictures of what I wore, but these were just a few that I really liked. Lanzarote has gorgeous weather but at night it can get really breezy, so some nights I found myself covering up a little more with a maxi dress/skirt or a kimono. The regular day outfit was obviously a bikini then come sort of cover up, mainly a dress or playsuit, then a casual look at night time.

001. The maxi dress here is from New Look a few months ago. I absolutely love it! One problem is that it is very fitted, which makes it really see-through, so I actually bought the dress a size bigger to try and help this problem. It did work, but simular coloured,  no VPL underwear is advisable! I don't usually go for maxi dresses but this one was the perfect length and style with a t-shirt style sleeve. This is one item you could wear in the day or dress it up at night, and the colour is gorgeous too.

002. Everyone say Hi to my brother making an appearance in this! I didn't have one of just me in this outfit but I wanted to show it because I really like it. It's just a simple floral vest from Tesco (of all places) and high waisted denim shorts from Primark. This was one of the hotter nights in Lanzarote so something simple and cool was needed. I wore these shorts to death on holiday because they are so comfy. My friend has literally a matching pair from New Look that were around £20, which I love because mine were half that - love a good Primark bargain.

003. Prior to buying this dress, I'd literally had my eye on it for months. I originally wanted it as a 21st birthday celebration dress but after finding one I loved more, I totally forgot about this. On a trip to Manchester I then found it on sale in Ark, for £15, so I was completely sold and snapped the last one up. I thought it would be really see-through and clingy but it's actually lovely and I've really warmed to the cut-outs at the side. I love shirt-style dresses too and this has become an absolute favourite, I just don't know if I'm going to have chance to wear it again this wear.

What are your favourite things to wear on holiday?

Lanzarote Outfit Post - Take One

Hello strangers! I thought I would post a little blog update from the beautiful island of Lanzarote! Yes, I am still here and to be honest I don't ever want to come home! Life is so slow paced and chilled here it's unreal, not to mention non-stop 30 degree sun.

This is just a little outfit post of my outfit tonight seeing as I have both a good picture and decent wifi. It gets a little windy at night in Lanzarote but I decided to brave this dress I got in the sake at Ark a few months ago. It's am absolute beaut and definitely a favourite, with a sort of Aztec black and cream print shirt dress with cut-out sides. For £15 I can't grumble at it one bit!

I am back on Thursday so there will be lots of blog posts to follow, don't worry bloggers! xo

Holiday Times

Good morning bloggers,

In a hour or so I will be off on my journey to the airport, to start my little eleven day break in Lanzarote with the fam. I doubt I'll be blogging while I'm away due to the ridiculous price of internet on my iPhone, but no doubt I will have lots of posts when I'm back! If I miraculously drag myself away from cocktails and the sun lounger onto a computer there may be the occasional post, but to be honest I think cocktails will win every time!

If there's any posts you would like to see, leave ideas in the comments box and I'll read them all and reply when I'm back.

I'll try to bring some Spanish sun back for you all xo

Dove Summer Glow - Holiday In A Bottle.

Dove Summer Glow Moisturiser - Medium to Dark.

If you're not jetting off on holiday this summer I'd definitely advise you to invest in a bottle of this amazing stuff. Now that's quite a statement, I know, but it is actually the best tanning moisturiser I've used. For £5 you really cannot grumble! I've always been pale and it never really bothered me, until I'd come back from holidays with an amazing tan and it would start to fade. My Mum actually got me into these kinds of moisturisers, but I'd always go for the ones that seemed to smell awful. I can remember applying some before I went out and I could literally smell myself all day - it was horrible. But this moisturiser hardly has any smell to it at all, so its safe for you and everyone else's poor little noses.

I use the medium to dark colour, just for the pure fact that recently I've been really brown due to holidaying in Egypt and using the occasional sun bed (naughty I know.) I can honestly say since I've started using this moisturiser more I haven't touched a sun bed, so if that's not an anti-advert then I don't know what is. The bottle I have now is a good few months old and is still going strong. The moisturiser has a gradual tanning ingredient in which as you apply, helps to build up a nice brown base. I can put one coat on and with in an hour I look like I've been back in Egypt - it's that good.

One tip I will say is that you do have to make sure you rub it in well. There's been a few instances where I've put some on in a rush, and half way through the day noticed I've got a horrible streaky line on my leg. If you take the time to rub it into your skin properly I guarantee you'll have amazing holiday skin. I hate using fake tan, which is why I resorted to the occasional sun bed, but now I wouldn't dream of using anything else.

Have you used Summer Glow before? What are your favourite tanning products?

Denim Shorts Hype

Denim Shorts - All Nasty Gal

At the minute I am loving denim shorts! Since Britain's had the odd week of sun, I've been living in my Levi shorts as they're the most comfy thing ever and so easy to add to an outfit. Whenever I go shopping I can't help but get drawn to the shorts section, especially in Miss Selfridge, and I literally have to drag myself away. I own about five pairs of denim shorts but I always find myself wanting more when it comes around to summer, and its even worse now I'm going on holiday in a few weeks!

I think my all time favourite shorts are found on the website Nasty Gal. Its an American-based website that sells all the usual clothes you'd find on any website, but they just have such an edge and a look to them. Now I know the prices above may be a bit steep for a pair of shorts (I'm thinking that myself) but a girl can dream, can't she? They look so different from the average pair you would find in our high street stores, and I know they may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm lusting over a pair at the minute.

Even if you're not a fan of the items I've shown you, you should definitely go and have a little browse through their pages and pages of items - I can guarantee you will be lusting over something just like I am from one look. The delivery is about $15 and takes an average of 2-4 weeks to arrive, which is another thing that puts me off buying. I'm definitely going to have to find some shorts that match up to these beauties.

Have you bought from Nasty Gal before? What do you think?

Little Trip To Liverpool

From Tuesday to Friday of this week I have spent my days and nights in the lovely city of Liverpool. I had never been before, and seeing as it was my 21st a few weeks ago, me and my cousin decided to book a little city break. We got the train tickets really cheap (thank you rail card) and were also lucky enough to book our room at a Travelodge a few months in advance. This means you get a room for £19 a night, which you can't really grumble at too much.

Liverpool as a city is lovely, and Liverpool One might actually be my favourite place on earth, but I do have something to grumble about... the night life. Now I know I can't really expect Wednesday nights to be amazing, but I was expecting more than about 100 people scattered across three or four bars. This was my only downside, and I would definitely love to go back. Here are a few of my Instagram photographs, as I haven't even uploaded them from my Nikon yet. Enjoy x

Back From Egypt

So I'm back! As you may have guessed, I have spent the past week sunning around in Egypt. It was the second time I've visited the country, and I can honestly say that it is definitely my favourite place to go on holiday. I will do a more in depth post about my experiences later on, as I have a million and one pieces of clothing to get washed (with my mum's help, obviously!) So until then, these are a few of my Instagram snaps.

The Contents Of My Day...

This suitcase stuffed in the middle of my room is my plan for today. I go to Egypt on Wednesday, and normally I would have been totally on top of everything and I would actually have been packed and ready by now. Well, this time I'm the total opposite. I have a million and one lists floating around my bedroom of things I've already packed, I need to pack, I still need to BUY... packing is driving me insane. To top it all off I have my last four hour shift tonight for a week, so thats totally going to throw my packing plans off. Major girl problems right now! My boyfriend's mum says I'm only making it harder by packing now, as she says I'm bound to put in more than I need... H E L P !

These are a few of the options I've sorted, and are now packed away in my suitcase. I came to realise that a large majority of my holiday clothes are either some shade of blue, or have a shade of blue in them, which is weird because I've never really been into the colour. Always time to start I guess. I'm not so much stressing about my clothes, but more my makeup and skin/hair products. After getting some of my holiday makeup together, I have realised that none of my ten million foundations are the right colour to take with me, absolute nightmare! This means a rushed trip to Tesco to try and find either a foundation or tinted moisturiser that will do the trick. I hate being a girl some times!
