I Am Loving.. Soap & Glory Make-Up Products

I've always loved Soap & Glory skincare and bath & body products but funnily enough I'd never given their make-up a second look. Strange right? I received the huge Christmas set and nestled in there were a few little make-up products, the perfect opportunity. One thing I absolutely love about Soap & Glory is the style of their packaging, I never want to throw it away.

My absolute favourite product is the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip gloss. A-MAZING! I have a thing about my tiny lips, so when this lip gloss claimed to plump them I was all in. The tingling sensation is the strangest feeling at first but you can really feel the instant lip filler effect working its magic. In my opinion you can definitely see a difference, not to mention the lip gloss is actually really nice and not too sticky. I have it in 'Clear' and 'Pink Out Loud' (I think...)

The Kick Ass Concealer has become a kind of holy grail product for me and I can't imagine not using it, I think its definitely turned into a daily product. Yet again the packing is so good, with a brightening under-eye concealer, a second for blemishes and a setting powder. This duo is actually a camouflage concealer, so its super high coverage and so amazing. I do love quite a thick concealer and I find applying both with a Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush does the job perfectly.

The Thick & Fast Mascara is perfect for an every day mascara, as I'm kind of having a love affair with the Benefit 'They're Real' at the minute. It definitely makes my lashes longer, but I wouldn't say they're a lot thicker after a few applications. The wand is the perfect thickness and the mascara itself doesn't clump either, so it separates the lashes really well.

I'm really tempted to try a Soap & Glory foundation next, as well as pretty much every single other make-up product they do. All in all, a definite winner in my books! What are your favorite Soap & Glory products?

Any to recommend?

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation

It seems like I'm always on a mission to find a foundation I love and I was about to give up.. until now! I picked up this Collection foundation on a whim after using the concealer for years and absolutely loving it, as every blogger seems to. I figured that the foundation must be as good... and in my opinion I was definitely right! For £5.99 I was a little sceptical, but don't you love it when you've proven wrong?

My skin tends to be quite oily recently so seeing that this foundation is oil free was a big bonus for me. I'm not really sure if it stands up to the '15 hour wear' as stated on the bottle, but for the price I'll not hold it against them. I don't find myself having to totally re-apply to my whole face though, just small areas where I need more coverage throughout the day.

The foundation is a good medium coverage but when too much is used it can tend to look cakey, so I find a pump or two does the trick. The consistency itself is quite thick, but then again I do like my foundation that way and I like to feel like I have good coverage. I use either my Real Techniques Expert Face brush or Stippling brush to buff the foundation into my skin, and for me, this is the best way instead of using my fingers. I went for Shade 3 - Biscuit and find that this matches really well at the minute, although I do have a bottle in the shade below just in case.

I'm really warming to Collection as a drug store brand and I think their re-brand has done so much for their products. I find myself checking out their section before my go-to brand such as Rimmel and Maybelline, which says a lot in my opinion. I'll definitely be branching out and trying a few more goodies!

BeTrousse 'Absolutely Fabulous' Beauty Box

BeTrousse boxes are starting to become my absolute favourite samples to receive - every time I receive a box I fall in love all over again! I have always loved their packages and yet again this one has not left me disappointed. Their recently released 'Absolutely Fabulous' box is filled with goodies to pamper yourself with as were getting close to Christmas. The products themselves total up to a huge £119.00, so getting all this for only £19.00 is truly amazing in my eyes. The even bigger bonus is that all of BeTrousse's products are full sized! What more could you ask for?
In the 'Absolutely Fabulous' box I received:

Duck Island Sensuous Shampoo
Organic Surge Pure & Clean Facial Wash
Spa Find Sculpting Silhouette Inchwraping Firming Gel
Leor Facial Exfoliate Creme
Helenere Hedelweiss 24hr Cream
Helenere Hedelweiss Intensive Serum

I can't wait to try out all of these products although my Mum has her eye on the Spa Find Firming Gel, so I may have to lose that one to her. I'll be doing lots of reviews after I've tried each of them so keep your eyes pealed! Which product do you most like the look of?

You can find out more about their boxes and products over on their Facebook page.

Stila Sheer Colour SPF 15 Tinted Moisturiser

I've seen a lot of hype about Stila products for a while, but to be completely honest I didn't really know much about the brand or have that much interest in trying anything. Stila was always the brand that I saw in the magazines while on an aeroplane, and seeing the prices I was always put off. Plus there was never really anything I was that interested in buying, so I never thought of even checking out their other products.

I saw this product in my local pound store and didn't really believe it was real at first - I can't seem to locate the product to link you guys to on the Stila website. Anyway, I do love a good tinted moisturiser and for £3.00 I thought it would be silly not to pick up a tube. The name did draw me in too as from looking on their website I am aware that Stila products do retail for a larger price than what I paid. I like a tinted moisturiser when my skin is having a good day, but I sometimes still feel like I need a little something on for colour and complexion. I got the colour 'Medium' as it looked the nearest to my skin colour when blended - I'm aware it looks far too orange in the sample photo.

I really like the sheerness of it and it is very light so it makes your skin feel lovely. The colour actually matches really well too when blended right, but it is more of a product I would use with a tan. I think this is definitely going to serve me well in the summer months but when it comes to winter my skin usually takes a turn for the worst. I wish I would have picked up a few more tubes to stock up as it has conveniently disappeared from the shelves.

Have you used this before? What Stila products do you recommend?

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I picked this little beauty up a few weeks ago from my local Boots store on a total whim, mainly because it was buy one get one half price. I've always received Soap and Glory goodies for Christmas but I can't ever say I've tried their range of make-up. I've always loved their body washes and things, so I thought it was well worth giving the make-up range a try. I decided on the Kick Ass Concealer purely for the fact that I did need a new concealer and this one intrigued me quite a bit.

It's a three step routine - STEP 1: an under eye brightening concealer, STEP 2: a complexion concealer and STEP 3: a transparent setting powder. As it is a camouflage kit, the concealers are quite thick and very high coverage, which I absolutely love, and little definitely goes a long way. I got the set in the colour 'Light', just because 'Medium' did look very dark. Both concealers blend extremely well and are really creamy. I can't say that I've really tried the powder yet as I usually just dust my Stay Matte over the top.

The packaging is really cute and compact which is always a bonus. There's also a cute little powder sponge and mirror in the first tier of the compact, which is super handy. Overall I love this product and I've been using it near enough every day since I bought it. This is something I'll definitely be re-purchasing over and over again.

My Face At The Minute

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder / Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer /
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer / Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer / Eco Tools Fluffy Brush /
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation / Real Techniques Expert Face Brush / Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

These are my absolute holy grail products for my base and skin at the minute, seeing as though it seems to be so bad coming up to winter. I do love the perfect look to my skin but unfortunately I do get a lot of blemishes, and always find it so hard to achieve the look I want... until now! I think I have finally found products that work really well with my skin and help to cover the problem areas. There seems to be a slight pattern here with Rimmel products, which I think are definitely becoming my favourite Drug Store products.

There are a few items here that every blogger will more than likely have in their make-up bag like the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, but to be honest they're so good I can't not use them. The Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer is a new one that I purchased a few weeks ago on a total whim, but I've actually grown to reply on it a lot. I'm going to put up a review of this little beauty later on this week - its absolutely amazing!

Have you tried any of these before? What would you recommend?

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Another absolute beaut by Real Techniques! Every time I buy a new brush I fall in love with it... I think Real Techniques are my absolute favourite brushes ever! I've seen a lot of people using this brush for their foundation on blogs and tutorials, so I decided to give it a try. I loved the Buffing Brush from the Core Collection for my foundation, but recently 'misplaced' it on a night out. Actually the most gutting thing ever, and I don't really want to re-purchase the whole set just for one brush... so I went in search of a replacement.

This brush didn't disappoint, and I actually think I prefer it a lot more to my long lost Buffing Brush. It works so well with liquid foundation and really buffs it into my skin. You don't get those horrible foundation lines either, which is a plus, and everything looks amazingly flawless and perfect. Majorly impressed! What made it an added bonus is that I bought it from Boots during their buy one get the second half price offer, I just can't help myself when it comes to a bargain. I'm already eyeing up a few more Real Techniques brushes to add to my collection!

BeTrousse Beauty Box 2 - Product Reviews

Fair Naturally Mango & Safflower Moisturiser - £3.99 (*)
Jason Normalising Shampoo - £7.29 (*)
Make Believe Beauty Shimmer Lip Gloss - £10.00 (*)

It has literally taken me SO long to get back into blogging with everything that I've had going on, but I'm back and ready to show you guys everything I've been up to! I literally received this BeTrousse box in April, and have just got round to writing a review of some of the products, so I apologise massively.

These are the only three products that I've had chance to try properly, and all in all I was really impressed. This is my second box and I'm just as impressed with the amazing full sized products, its literally one of my favourite every beauty boxes. I'll start by saying that the Fair Naturally Mango & Safflower Moisturiser is THE best smelling thing ever! I love the smell of Mango so this was a winner straight away, not to mention it actually leaves your skin feeling so soft. I used it while I was on holiday and was so impressed, thank god I've got a bit left to carry on using.

I was really impressed with the Jason Normalising Shampoo too. I don't usually try a huge amount of hair products, as I kind of know what works for me. I decided to brave this shampoo for a few tries and really loved it. I found that if I used too much it did make my hair feel really stiff, so just be wary on the amount you do use. When I finally got the proportions right, my hair was so shiny after and I actually got compliments from people asking if I had dyed my hair... which is always a bonus is my books!

The third product I tried out from the box was the Make Believe Beauty Shimmer Lip Gloss. I'm not a massive fan of lip gloss and I only tend to wear it on the odd occasion. This gloss was a really lovely pale pinky peach colour with a little bit of sparkle, which I have to admit I wasn't really fond of. It felt quite sticky when I applied it at first, but that soon faded and I liked it. I'm going to keep it in my bag and keep trying it, I just wish it wasn't so glittery.

Yet again BeTrousse has exceeded my expectations and I am so impressed! I actually love their boxes and I'm definitely going to catch up on the rest of the products and try them out, so watch this space bloggers!

Have you tried any of the BeTrousse boxes before? Which is your favourite?

BeTrousse 'Glitz and Glamour' Beauty Box

Back in February I received an email from the lovely Christelle at BeTrousse to see if I would be interested in sampling one of their beauty boxes. When the box arrived I was so impressed and I absolutely loved it! (You can read my thoughts here.) A few days ago I received a mystery parcel through the post, and to my surprise it was another of their boxes! This time I received their latest 'Glitz and Glamour' box and I was so happy to have the chance to try out some more products.

Yet again I received five full sized samples ranging from moisturisers to a lip gloss. Yet again BeTrousse have amazed me with their amazing creativity with this box, not to mention the fact that all the products are full sized. That's definitely my favourite bit! The box is on sale for £10.00 instead of the combined price of £70.00, which is a massive 86% saving. I always have amazing service with this company and every time I receive another box, I seem to be even more impressed than before.

In this box I received:
Benta Berry Facial Cleanser
Make Believe Beauty Shimmer Lip Gloss
Fair Naturally Mango & Safflower Body Moisturiser
Tulecos Tonifying Oil
Jason Normalising Shampoo

As I've already said, I cannot say anything but good things about BeTrousse and I'm so thankful that they have chosen to send me another box to try. I will be doing reviews of all these products as I use them, so keep your eyes pealed bloggers.

What products catch your eye?

MUA Undress Me Too Eyeshadow Palette

From left to right:
Corrupt, Obsessed, Wink, Reveal, Exposed, Tranquil, Dreamy, Lavish,
Fiery, Shy, Devotion, Naked.

I've been trying to get my hands on this palette for weeks and weeks, so I was so happy that my local Superdrug had it in stock last week. I'm a massive fan of MUA eyeshadow palettes and Undressed is my absolute favourite, so I was so excited to see this new version. I really do like the packaging of MUA's palettes but it was a nice change to see something in white, instead of the usual black and dark colours. I also love how they give a little tutorial on the back of the palette to try out, I think its cute a cute and clever idea.

The colours are quite similar to those in the Undressed palette, but I find these seems to be a little more neutral. A lot seem to have a shimmer to them too, which I didn't think I would like but have surprisingly warmed to. I've used this a few times now and I absolutely love it! I really don't think you can complain with the price of MUA products and it was a massive bonus that Undress Me Too was actually on offer for £4. What a bargain.

I'm going to have a play around with the colours and I'll maybe do a blog post on some of the different looks you can create. If anyone has a tutorial using this palette I'd love to see it, so feel free to add your links in a comment.
