L'Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution
Now I'm sure all bloggers have heard of the cult French product Bioderma, which is the primary product that comes to mind when I hear or see 'Micellar.' I haven't tried this product myself for the pure fact that it is a little out of my price range, and I'm very funny about using new skin care products. It seems though, that the likes of L'Oreal and Garnier have jumped on the bandwagon and formulated their own dupes.
I was actually looking for the Garnier version when I stumbled across this one and decided to try it instead. A Micellar Solution or 'Water' is a 'high performance hypo-allergenic cleanser for face, eyes and lips and is suitable for sensitive skin.' The solution dissolves make-up, unclogs pores, removes any impurities from your skin and also tones and soothes. I'm a big lover of the Nivea Daily Essentials Cleanser & Toner and have used it for years, but dare I say this may be a new favourite?
After trying this little beauty for a few weeks I can honestly say I agree with every single statement that L'Oreal have said about this product. It literally feels like you are removing your make-up with water, its so light and makes your skin feel amazing afterwards. A little goes a long way with this product too, I hardly use anything and my make-up seems to lift straight away.
Are you a fan of Micellar Solutions? Have you tried this product?

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Range
Anything that has the words 'skin' and 'perfection' is its name is a winner in my books. Isn't that what were all after in the world - perfect skin? I know I am and I have literally tried every possible way to get it. I saw these two products on a weekly Tesco trip with my Mum and seeing as there was a very tempting '2 for' deal on them, I couldn't resist. I do like a L'Oreal product but at the minute by go-to for everything has been Nivea. I've read a lot of positive things about L'Oreal at the minute, so that and the deal kind of dragged me in.
I like that both products are suitable for dry, sensitive skin and the fact that the face wash contains no perfume or soap. They both work to unclog pores and remove impurities from the skin, along with removing make-up too. I've been using the Micellar Solution for a week or two now and I have to say, I am highly impressed. I'm going to introduce the face wash into my everyday routine this week and get back to you guys with my thoughts.
Have you used these products before? What are your opinions?

Happy Mothers Day with Alix Webb Cards
How adorable and amazing are these cards?! My good friend Alix makes these beautiful cards for lots of occasions and I am absolutely in love! I wanted a really special card for Mothers Day instead of the generic cards you'd find on the high street, and Alix has definitely achieved that. They're also really affordable at £2.50 (including p+p) which for something handmade and individual is so good. There's something really special about receiving something handmade and I know my Mum is going to love this.
She has lots of different designs and styles for not only Mothers Day but birthdays and special occasions. I've already complied a list of friend's and family member's birthdays and there's no doubt I'll be purchasing some more cards soon.
You can contact her here and look at some of her recent work on her Facebook page here. Her cards are also available to buy at Delightful Decor in Chesterfield for £1.99.

I Am Loving.. Soap & Glory Make-Up Products
I've always loved Soap & Glory skincare and bath & body products but funnily enough I'd never given their make-up a second look. Strange right? I received the huge Christmas set and nestled in there were a few little make-up products, the perfect opportunity. One thing I absolutely love about Soap & Glory is the style of their packaging, I never want to throw it away.
My absolute favourite product is the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip gloss. A-MAZING! I have a thing about my tiny lips, so when this lip gloss claimed to plump them I was all in. The tingling sensation is the strangest feeling at first but you can really feel the instant lip filler effect working its magic. In my opinion you can definitely see a difference, not to mention the lip gloss is actually really nice and not too sticky. I have it in 'Clear' and 'Pink Out Loud' (I think...)
The Kick Ass Concealer has become a kind of holy grail product for me and I can't imagine not using it, I think its definitely turned into a daily product. Yet again the packing is so good, with a brightening under-eye concealer, a second for blemishes and a setting powder. This duo is actually a camouflage concealer, so its super high coverage and so amazing. I do love quite a thick concealer and I find applying both with a Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush does the job perfectly.
The Thick & Fast Mascara is perfect for an every day mascara, as I'm kind of having a love affair with the Benefit 'They're Real' at the minute. It definitely makes my lashes longer, but I wouldn't say they're a lot thicker after a few applications. The wand is the perfect thickness and the mascara itself doesn't clump either, so it separates the lashes really well.
I'm really tempted to try a Soap & Glory foundation next, as well as pretty much every single other make-up product they do. All in all, a definite winner in my books! What are your favorite Soap & Glory products?
Any to recommend?

Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mists
Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mists - £11
I'm quite new to the whole Victoria's Secret hype, as a store only opened a few months ago close to me in Sheffield. I instantly fell in love as soon as I stepped through the door - literally a girl's underwear heaven! Admittedly some of the prices make my heart stop a little, but I figured that the quality MUST be good and you'd hopefully feel amazing wearing their pieces... right?
I'd heard a lot about the Victoria's Secret beauty range and decided to test for myself, so I instantly went over to try the fragrance mists. After reading a few blog posts about how amazing these products are, I thought it was about time I invested. I'm a huge perfume lover but I hate carrying around the beautiful glass bottles when you're on the go, so these seemed like the perfect alternative. These four are my all time favourites, but it is literally so hard to decide which to buy because their range is amazing! There are so many different scents and there's definitely something for everyone.
I can't remember the exact offer they have on the beauty items, but I know the fragrance mists are around £11 each. You may think is quite steep, but I've had my very first bottle a good two months now and I'm not even a quarter down. I stocked in the Christmas 75% off sales and got a few for under £3, which is amazing compared to the normal price. They also stock each scent in other products for the bath, shower and body, which I cannot wait to try.

Are you a Victoria's Secret fan? What scent/product is your favourite?

Orly Gel FX Manicure
I cannot seem to get enough of having my nails done recently, it's literally the thing I look forward to every couple of weeks. I first started having my nails done around September time last year and since then I haven't even touched them myself. You can read my first experience post here. This month's nails are by far my favourites and its actually the first time I've decided to have something a bit more adventurous besides five plain coloured nails.
Black and silver always look really classy and I'm a huge fan of black nails. These photos were taken around four weeks ago and they are just starting to chip, so the wear you get from the Gel FX is crazy! Well worth the £25 I pay for my manicures. Here I have 'Liquid Vinyl', 'Shine' and 'Holy Holo.' You can take a look at their website and a few of the shades here.
How do you usually do your nails, and what are your favourite products?

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation
It seems like I'm always on a mission to find a foundation I love and I was about to give up.. until now! I picked up this Collection foundation on a whim after using the concealer for years and absolutely loving it, as every blogger seems to. I figured that the foundation must be as good... and in my opinion I was definitely right! For £5.99 I was a little sceptical, but don't you love it when you've proven wrong?
My skin tends to be quite oily recently so seeing that this foundation is oil free was a big bonus for me. I'm not really sure if it stands up to the '15 hour wear' as stated on the bottle, but for the price I'll not hold it against them. I don't find myself having to totally re-apply to my whole face though, just small areas where I need more coverage throughout the day.
The foundation is a good medium coverage but when too much is used it can tend to look cakey, so I find a pump or two does the trick. The consistency itself is quite thick, but then again I do like my foundation that way and I like to feel like I have good coverage. I use either my Real Techniques Expert Face brush or Stippling brush to buff the foundation into my skin, and for me, this is the best way instead of using my fingers. I went for Shade 3 - Biscuit and find that this matches really well at the minute, although I do have a bottle in the shade below just in case.

I'm really warming to Collection as a drug store brand and I think their re-brand has done so much for their products. I find myself checking out their section before my go-to brand such as Rimmel and Maybelline, which says a lot in my opinion. I'll definitely be branching out and trying a few more goodies!

Stila Sheer Colour SPF 15 Tinted Moisturiser
I've seen a lot of hype about Stila products for a while, but to be completely honest I didn't really know much about the brand or have that much interest in trying anything. Stila was always the brand that I saw in the magazines while on an aeroplane, and seeing the prices I was always put off. Plus there was never really anything I was that interested in buying, so I never thought of even checking out their other products.
I saw this product in my local pound store and didn't really believe it was real at first - I can't seem to locate the product to link you guys to on the Stila website. Anyway, I do love a good tinted moisturiser and for £3.00 I thought it would be silly not to pick up a tube. The name did draw me in too as from looking on their website I am aware that Stila products do retail for a larger price than what I paid. I like a tinted moisturiser when my skin is having a good day, but I sometimes still feel like I need a little something on for colour and complexion. I got the colour 'Medium' as it looked the nearest to my skin colour when blended - I'm aware it looks far too orange in the sample photo.
I really like the sheerness of it and it is very light so it makes your skin feel lovely. The colour actually matches really well too when blended right, but it is more of a product I would use with a tan. I think this is definitely going to serve me well in the summer months but when it comes to winter my skin usually takes a turn for the worst. I wish I would have picked up a few more tubes to stock up as it has conveniently disappeared from the shelves.
Have you used this before? What Stila products do you recommend?

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer
I picked this little beauty up a few weeks ago from my local Boots store on a total whim, mainly because it was buy one get one half price. I've always received Soap and Glory goodies for Christmas but I can't ever say I've tried their range of make-up. I've always loved their body washes and things, so I thought it was well worth giving the make-up range a try. I decided on the Kick Ass Concealer purely for the fact that I did need a new concealer and this one intrigued me quite a bit.
It's a three step routine - STEP 1: an under eye brightening concealer, STEP 2: a complexion concealer and STEP 3: a transparent setting powder. As it is a camouflage kit, the concealers are quite thick and very high coverage, which I absolutely love, and little definitely goes a long way. I got the set in the colour 'Light', just because 'Medium' did look very dark. Both concealers blend extremely well and are really creamy. I can't say that I've really tried the powder yet as I usually just dust my Stay Matte over the top.
The packaging is really cute and compact which is always a bonus. There's also a cute little powder sponge and mirror in the first tier of the compact, which is super handy. Overall I love this product and I've been using it near enough every day since I bought it. This is something I'll definitely be re-purchasing over and over again.

My Face At The Minute
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder / Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer /
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer / Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer / Eco Tools Fluffy Brush /
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation / Real Techniques Expert Face Brush / Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation
These are my absolute holy grail products for my base and skin at the minute, seeing as though it seems to be so bad coming up to winter. I do love the perfect look to my skin but unfortunately I do get a lot of blemishes, and always find it so hard to achieve the look I want... until now! I think I have finally found products that work really well with my skin and help to cover the problem areas. There seems to be a slight pattern here with Rimmel products, which I think are definitely becoming my favourite Drug Store products.
There are a few items here that every blogger will more than likely have in their make-up bag like the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, but to be honest they're so good I can't not use them. The Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer is a new one that I purchased a few weeks ago on a total whim, but I've actually grown to reply on it a lot. I'm going to put up a review of this little beauty later on this week - its absolutely amazing!

Green Envee Organics Exfoliating Body Scrub
This was another amazing product that I was sent to a few months ago by Green Envee Organics. They are an American-based company who specialise in organic products that promote and specialise in aromatherapy, homoeopathic and spiritual products. (You can read a bit more about my goodie box here.)
I was really impressed with their Brazilian Orange and Litsea Body Wash and was already expecting a lot from their body scrub. The smell is yet again amazing, and although I'm not usually a fan of body scrubs I actually didn't mind this one At $28.00 a pop it is on the expensive side, but its all completely natural. The body scrub is said to be stress reducing, really uplifting and is actually said to reduce depression. You can read more about it here. In all fairness it is just a regular body scrub and I didn't feel like it did anything else apart from leave my skin super soft. I do think the best thing about this product is the smell, which I know I keep mentioning, but it really is amazing!
I do really like Green Envee Organics products and I have a few more to trial yet, so watch this space guys.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
Another absolute beaut by Real Techniques! Every time I buy a new brush I fall in love with it... I think Real Techniques are my absolute favourite brushes ever! I've seen a lot of people using this brush for their foundation on blogs and tutorials, so I decided to give it a try. I loved the Buffing Brush from the Core Collection for my foundation, but recently 'misplaced' it on a night out. Actually the most gutting thing ever, and I don't really want to re-purchase the whole set just for one brush... so I went in search of a replacement.
This brush didn't disappoint, and I actually think I prefer it a lot more to my long lost Buffing Brush. It works so well with liquid foundation and really buffs it into my skin. You don't get those horrible foundation lines either, which is a plus, and everything looks amazingly flawless and perfect. Majorly impressed! What made it an added bonus is that I bought it from Boots during their buy one get the second half price offer, I just can't help myself when it comes to a bargain. I'm already eyeing up a few more Real Techniques brushes to add to my collection!

Orly Gel FX Manicure
I've always been someone whose loved painting their nails, but I can honestly say I'd never ever thought about NOT doing them myself. I've been a huge nail biter since I was young and was frankly too embarrassed to let anyone look at my nails, yet alone paint them. After years of really hard work (it was super hard!) I stopped and got my nails into a good enough condition that I felt comfortable letting someone loose on them. I read a lot about Shellac and was totally set on the idea, so I rung up my local salon to enquire and they turned me onto Orly Gel FX. They gave me a bit of information about it and I booked myself in straight away, but also went home and did a little research too.
Orly say that Gel FX is no ordinary manicure, and that 'Antioxidant vitamins A and E help to promote healthy nails, while pro-vitamin B5 protects the structure of the natural nail.' Orly have also taken over 60 of their best-selling colours into the Gel FX range, so there's definitely enough choice! I was told that depending on your nails and what you do, the colour can last between two to four weeks, although some clients keep theirs for up to six weeks. I pay £20 for my manicure, but keep in mind that you do have to have the gel soaked off before they can be repainted.
This is the third time I've had my nails done with Gel FX and I can honestly say it is absolutely amazing! I've noticed that different colours last better on my nails, and the best yet has been four weeks with a colour called 'Terracotta.' I've noticed that my nails have become so much stronger while having this polish on, and amazingly the growth of them is unreal. They've literally never ever been this long, but obviously when I have my manicure I do have then filed down.
I'm going to do a little week by week post to show you all what the manicure looks like and how it keeps. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone and I've got nothing but good words to preach about this!
